SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR NORTH COLORADO SPRINGS READINESS CENTER Category: Y -Construction of Structures and Facilities-Potential Sources Sought Date Published: April 29, 2011 Contact: USP&FO-COLORADO, Contracting Office, M/S 66, 660 South Aspen Street, Building 1005, Aurora, CO 80011-9511 POC: SGT Miranda Synopsis: NORTH COLORADO SPRINGS READINESS CENTER. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for offers or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this notice. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential Small Businesses. USPFO-Colorado anticipates the solicitation and award of a contract to "Build a new Readiness Center". The estimated cost range, according to the DFARS 36.204, is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The NAICS Code is 236220, under the index title Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The size standard for this NAICS code is $33.5 million. Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-14 guidelines, the concern will perform at least 15% of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. All interested Small Business concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 10 May 2011. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include a (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form (attached) and (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it will be advertised as unrestricted. Aspen Street., Bldg 1005, MS 66, Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, CO 80011, NOT LATER THAN May 10, 2011, 1pm, MST. SCOPE OF WORK: The services to be rendered a new Readiness Center and all ancillary facilities located on federal land under control of the United States Air Force Academy. The complete construction of a new Readiness Center in North Colorado Springs, Colorado include an approximate 65,641square foot primary facility that will contain an assembly hall, classroom, library, learning center, simulation center, kitchen, family support center, recruiting office, storage, ammunition vault, physical fitness area, controlled waste, break room, and restrooms. The facility is intended to support an Infantry Headquarters Company and one Infantry Company (Alpha). Supporting facilities will include unheated storage, a maintenance training bay, turn-in sheds, military vehicle parking, access roads, POV parking, loading ramp, a vehicle wash rack and flammable materials storage. It is intended that this project will be a self-certified LEED Silver project as a minimum, with the goal of LEED Gold. Academy goal of becoming "Net-Zero Energy Installation" by 2015.
