Description
This solicitation is the same as solicitation # N0016811RCWW011. This is a repost. Description of work has been added. The National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) Acquisition Management Department, Bethesda, MD on behalf of The Anesthesia Department intends to award a procurement for "Pain Care Symposium Logistical and Support Services". The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate. This notice is an intent for an competitive bid. The government will compete this procurement based on response to this notice and the discretion of the government. The period of performance will be from 27 September 2011 through 28 September 2011. Description of Work 1) Pain Care Symposium-The Wounded Warrior Pain Care Initiative requires contract services in support of a Symposium on optimizing care, alternative approaches to pain management in Wounded Warrior treatment, and plans for the future. 2) Facilitate Attendance for 75-100 symposium participants 3) Secure a block of 50 hotel rooms for participant lodging (Contractor is not responsible for payment of the rooms; participants will pay for their own lodging) Lodging will be METRO accessible 4) Provide travel assistance to all participants (Each attendee is responsible for the expenses of travel and lodging; travel costs are the burden of the participants) 5) Creation of non-secure, non-508 compliant website to support the event, complete with editable pages for the addition of content and the ability to support electronic registration. 6) Assist in symposium marketing including electronic invitations and a single page electronic advertisement. 7) Provide at least 3 staff members (2 conference profession and 1 audio-visucal technician) on-site for the duration of the symposium to support registration, speaker set-up and overall event success. 8) Participation in a post symposium meeting. 9) Collate and print symposium material consisting of agendas, location maps, handouts, and reference material and speaker bio-sketches. (See attachment for details) 10) On-site technical support during the symposium to ensure smooth presentations. 11) Equipment rentals of up to 4 audiovisual (AV) packages (one package includes a 6 foot projector screen, projector and a wireless microphone. 12) Provide monthly status reports and final report upon contract completion. 13) Speakers and breakout leaders will require nametags as well as all symposium attendees. Participant name badges complete with plastic holder, badge clip and east status identification. Speakers and breakout leaders should have special nametags to distinguish themselves from others. 14) Prepare pre- and post surveys. Develop, print, distribute, collect and tally participant evaluation survey. 15) Electronically distribute the recommendations of the symposium to all participants. 16) Coordinate the layout of the main symposium and 4 breakout rooms. 17) Welcome folders for all out to town participants including local maps, restaurant information and local area attraction information (i.e. locations, hours, contract numbers) 18) Light breakfast: Up t0 160 breakfasts on Day 1; Up to 160 breakfasts on Day 2. 19) Lunch: Up to 160 lunches on Day 1; Up to 160 lunches on Day 2.
