- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source modification to Contract N00019-09-D-0015 with Lockheed Martin Corporation, Marietta, GA for the following services and supplies in support of the KC-130J weapon system for calendar year 2012: (a) KC-130J Technical and Logistics Services, (b) Field Services Representatives supporting various squadrons at multiple locations, and (c) KC-130 J common and peculiar parts and materials. No formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the KC- 130J weapon system, and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform these efforts. The Government does not possess sufficient data rights for the system to enable competition for this effort. The Government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies and services anticipated needed herein is 336411. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted.
