- Description
- The U.S. Air Force's Electronics Systems Center is requesting information from responsible sources with experience in commercial, commercial derivative, and/or military aircraft modifications to address possible near-term acquisition of Group A for the U.S Air Force's Executive Airlift (EA) aircraft. The Group A effort will support integration and installation of Group B kits developed under the Senior Leadership Command, Control, and Communications System - Airborne (SLC3S-A) Communications Program (SCP).a. Responsible sources must be able to perform the Group A work without needing the government to provide platform specifications and commercial aircraft data for the aircraft listed below, including those data available via the aircraft Supplemental Type Certifications (STC). The government will provide Group B technical data to support the Group A work.b. The SCP Group B kits are being developed by Rockwell Collins under contract to ESC. A notional architecture diagram of SCP Group B is available upon request. The Group B kit provides voice, video/video-teleconference (VTC), and data services to passengers; administrative services such as printing, scanning and faxing; control of on-board transmission systems (air-to-air, air-to-ground, and satellite communications); integrated Wi-Fi and cellular services; and management and control of the on-board network by a communications system operator (CSO). c. SCP Group B equipment includes passenger interface stations (monitors, controls, handsets) located at the passenger seats; large display monitors at some bulkhead locations; handsets/network access interfaces at aircraft entry, galley, and flight deck locations; network equipment including servers, hubs, switches, and encryption devices; administrative equipment including printer/scanner/fax; and up to two CSO workstations (depending on aircraft type). The Group B includes three security enclaves (on segregated networks) to allow for multiple independent levels of security for the voice, video/VTC, and data services.
