- The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area of the U.S. Forest Service is doing market research to get an idea of the numbers and types of general construction contractors who have the capabilitiy of perform the following construction project: Complete renovation of an existing 28 unit campground which includes: demolition, clearing, grading, base course aggregate, asphalt paving; new single, double and triple camp units which include concrete tables, concrete unit pads, concrete walks, grills, tent pads, segmental retaining walls. Project includes removal of existing vault toilets and installation of new flush toilets with showers, water lines and appurtenant features, sewer lines, underground electrical facilities, septic tanks with leachfields, fence construction, gates, fee booth and trail construction. We would like to get company information from interested contractors who are registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR), and possess conventional bonding ability for construction jobs in the $5 Million - $10 Million range. Interested contractors may, if they wish, attach informational material about the company such as brochures etc., but whether or not you send materials of this kind, please let us know a.) Whether you are a large or small business against the SBA size standard of $20.0 Million. b.) If your company is certified in a particular socio-economic set-aside category, such as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Business, HubZone Owned Business, or 8(a) Business. c.) A brief overview of your company experience performing road reconstruction and water crossing work in the 1 - 5 Million dollar range. (Please highlight any of this work done for the U.S. Forest Service). d.) What disciplines of labor and expertise your company carries "in-house", and the disciplines and trades you normally sub-contract. General expected ability to perform a large job between the late summer of 2011 and early spring of 2012. THIS IS NOT A SOLICTATION. At this time, there are NO PLANS, OR SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE. All information we have available at this time is included in this announcement. While we anticipate this project being available in late summer of 2011, there is no guarantee or implication of a guarantee that this project will be done. When and if this project is funded, and set-aside possibilities considered by the Contracting Officer, there would be a solicitation posted here in the FBO under this solicitation number. It is recommended that interested contractors to check back here periodically.
