Description
The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area of the U.S. Forest Service is doing market research to get an idea of the numbers and types of general construction contractors who have the capabilitiy of perform the following construction project: Deer Creek Water System - This project consists of drilling a well and constructing and providing all necessary components to provide a backup water source for the facilities served by the existing water system. Items of work include drilling a vertical well approximately 300 feet deep, installation of submersible pump and casing, electrical system, trailer mounted generator, construction of concrete block pump house to contain control panel and generator, and trenching and piping to connect to existing water line. We would like to receive company information from interested contractors who are registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR), and possess conventional bonding ability for construction jobs in the $250,000- $500,000 range. Interested contractors should send E-mail or FAX correspondence to Steve Roehr, Contracting Officer at sroehr@fs.fed.us or FAX 702-839-5599. Interested contractors may, if they wish, attach informational material about the company such as brochures etc., but whether or not you send materials of this kind, please let us know a.) Whether you are a large or small business against the SBA size standard of $33.5 Million. b.) If your company is certified in a particular socio-economic set-aside category, such as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Business, HubZone Owned Business, or 8(a) Business. c.) A brief overview of your company experience performing road reconstruction and water crossing work in the 1 - 5 Million dollar range. (Please highlight any of this work done for the U.S. Forest Service). d.) What disciplines of labor and expertise your company carries "in-house", and the disciplines and trades you normally sub-contract. e.)General expected ability to perform a large job between the late early spring of 2012 and late spring of 2012. THIS IS NOT A SOLICTATION. At this time, there are NO PLANS, OR SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE. All information we have available at this time is included in this announcement. While we anticipate this project being available in winter of 2011, there is no guarantee or implication of a guarantee that this project will be done. When and if this project is funded, and set-aside possibilities considered by the Contracting Officer, there would be a solicitation posted here in the FBO under this solicitation number. It is recommended that interested contractors to check back here periodically. We look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible.
