- Description
- Department of Labor Wage Determination Request For Quote This Request for Quote (RFQ) is to provide labor, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment to provide lawn care and grounds keeping services for the NOAA Gulf Of Mexico Disaster Response Center Facility located at 7344 Zeigler Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608 in accordance with the statement of work and Department Of Labor Wage Determination WD 05-2009 REV 14. Currently, the DRC is under construction with a planned official opening date of August 1, 2011. The DRC is surrounded with 0.55 acres of grounds to maintain. The contractor shall perform work under this contract in accordance with green building practices. The DRC will have a "LEED Silver" certification once construction has been completed. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality and stewardship of resources. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. LEED certification applies to all aspects of a facility lifecycle - design and construction, OPERATION and MAINTENANCE, occupancy and any modification/retrofitting. A site visit is highly encouraged. Please make sure to follow the instructions listed on page 4 of the solicitation document. This is a small business set aside. The NAICS code for this action is 561730. The government intends to procure supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The government requires all contractors doing business with the government to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). For additional information and to register in CCR, please access the following website: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with CCR and to be eligible to receive an award, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet number, which may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on line at http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform or by phone at 1-866-705-5711. The government encourages all contractors to submit their Representations and Certifications on-line Business Partner Network (BPN) at https://orca.bpn.gov. The BPN is the single source for vendor data for the federal government. Award will not be made to any contractor that is not registered in CCR.
