Description

Herbicide spraying and drill seeding 430 acres of relatively flat (less than 30% slope) terrain within the Long Butte Fire perimeter at Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, as part of a burned area rehabilitation effort. NOTE: This project was previously announced as #P11PS00269, but because this number duplicated an RFQ already in the system, it has been reissued as P11PS80269. LOCATION: The project is located within Hagerman Fossil beds National Monument. Information about the monument may be found at http://www.nps.gov/hafo. Photos of the monument during and after the fire are at http://www.inciweb.org/incident/photographs/2084/10/. SITE VISIT: Offerors are encouraged to participate in a site visit on June 14, 2011, to familiarize offerors with the site. Details are in Section L of the RFQ. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement set-aside for small business concerns in accordance with FAR Subpart 19.502-2, NAICS 115310, Forestry Support Services. The small business size standard is $7.0 million, average annual gross receipts for the past three years. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned businesses. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed-price contract to the responsible offeror whose total offer is the most advantageous for the Government, price and other factors considered. The electronic Request for Quotations will be available on approximately May 20, 2011, at www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov. In order to download the solicitation, interested vendors must register at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and maintain an active registration at http://www.ccr.gov. Offers are due at 4:00 pm on June 28, 2011. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
