- Description
- The USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Small Boat Product Line (SBPL) is seeking sources to provide overhaul of Twin Disc reduction gears for models MG-507A1 which is currently used on the 49' Buoy System; MG-509, currently used on the 41' Utility Boat (UTB); MG-514M, used on the 55' Aids To Navigation Boat (ANB); and MG-5114SC which is used on the 45' Response Boat Medium (RBM). The overhauls shall be completed in accordance with Coast Guard specifications and shall require use of only genuine OEM parts - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is the Government's belief that only Twin Disc and/or their authorized repair facilities/dealers possess the necessary proprietary technical and engineering data to successfully overhaul these reduction gears, therefore it is the Government's intent to solicit only Twin Disc and/or their authorized distributors. However, other concerns having the capabilities to provide this service and supply genuine OEM parts are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the offeror's capabilities (i.e., demonstration of authorization as a Twin Disc repair facility from Twin Disc; salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics of parts) and/or (2) Data that the offered services and parts have been satisfactorily provided to the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
