- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0010 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, P.O. Box 9729 Stratford, CT 06615-9129, on an other than full and open competition basis for the effort associated with the reconfiguration of VH-3D Main Rotor Blades and associated non-recurring engineering. A sole source acquisition will be procured under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.' As the sole manufacturer of the VH-3D aircraft, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the only known source with the necessary technical data, knowledge, experience, and expertise required to perform this effort to ensure the Main Rotor Blades are properly configured for the VH-3D aircraft. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement. The Government will consider all capability information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed delivery order, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
