- Amendments to Attachment 1 and Attachment 2. Question - For CLIN 0002, do you need hard drives? The provided specs do not list any hard drives. Answer - The CLIN 0002 Specs require "HP 146GB GG SAS Drive 10K rpm SFF". This is the hard drive requirement. A revised CLIN 0002 is enclosed. Question - Can my company use the advance payments clause? Answer - Currently, there are no advance payment clauses/provisions in the solicitation. At a later time, if it's determined to be in the best interest of the Government, we will consider incorporating advance payments per FAR 32.202. At this time, however, we will go forward with the current clauses and requirements as listed. Question - I'm requesting you provide us the folowing details: List of items, schedule of requirments, scope of work, terms of reference, bill of materials, soft copy of tender document, names of countries that will be eligible to participate in this tender, info about the tendering procedure and guidelines, estimated budget for this purchase, bidding deadline extensions, addendum or pre-bid meeting minutes. Answer - See the Solicitation for the listing of items and the requirements. The rest of the requested information is proprietary. Question - Is the end user Army, Navy, Air Force etc? Answer - The end user is not needed in order to fulfill this requirement. Question - Can we provide a bid for the first 2 CLINS only and still have our bid considered? Answer - A bid must be complete and contain all of the requested items. Question - The NGA provided specifications regarding the Workstations are for the Z800 Workstations; however, the P/N (AY032AV-SEC) that NGA supplied is for the HP Compaq Elite 8100 Small Form Factor. Can you clarify? Answer - The correct P/N is FF825AV. A revised Attachment 1 is enclosed. Question - No formatting instructions were included in the RFP. Can we assume NGA standard is acceptable? Answer - Yes. Question - Is it acceptable to use NGA logo for title page of proposal response? Answer - No. Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, Microsoft Windows XP was discontinued in October 2010. What Operating System would you like as a replacement? Answer - Windows 7.0 downgradeable to XP. Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, The Nvidia Quadro 3800 is discontinued and has been replaced by the FX4000. Are you requiring the NGA BIOS be loaded onto these machines? Answer - NVIDIA Quadro 4000 (WS087AV and WS088AV) or its equivalent is required. 2 are needed. A revised Attachment 1 is enclosed. Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, are you requiring the NGA BIOS be loaded onto these machines? Answer - Yes, we need the BIOS (HP Part Number #ZJ588AV). A revised Attachement 1 is enclosed. Question - Regarding CLIN 0002, Microsoft Windows XP was discontinued in October 2010. What Operating System would you like as a replacement? And do you require a docking station or extended battery life for this? Answer - We require Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. No docking station or extended battery life is required. A revised Attachment 2 is enclosed. Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, can you specify on the hard drive qty, model and RAID requirement? Answer - 1st HD = 2 TB SATA, 2nd HD = 300GB SAS Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, memory specification usually goes by count of 16, 12, 24, 48GB. 16GB will not get the optimize performance for the system. Answer - 24GB is required. A revised Attachment 1 is enclosed. Question - Regarding CLIN 0002, Is there any hard drive and RAID requirement? Does the power supply need to be redundant? Answer - Yes, there is a requirement and it's as follows: HP 146GB GG SAS Drive 10K rpm SFF. Yes, the power supply needs to be redundant. A revised Attachment 2 is enclosed. Question - Regarding CLIN 0002, what is the size of the requested hard drives? Answer - 160GB. Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, most current OS is Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, WIN XP PRO downgrade option is no longer offered. Answer - We still need Windows 7 OS licenses with a downgrade option to Windows XP to support our current environment. Question - Regarding CLIN 0001, what type of fiber are you using? Answer - We are using 62.5 micron multi-mode fibers throughout the NGA enterprise. Question - How far away are the workstations? Answer - Workstation distance is not important with this procurement. Question - Why did you decide to go with fiber? Answer - We chose fiber connectivity for all workstations in our facility. Question - Can you please email the specs for the laptop desired? Attachment 3 is missing. Answer - Attachment 3 is the very last page of the solicitation. Please try to print the entire document.
