Sources Sought Notice: Vendor Show - Linen/Textile Products This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, estimates, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to view (Vendor Show) and obtain information regarding: (1) the availability of linen/textile distributors to provide like home products (2) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (3) whether they are a small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; (4) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition; and (5) a description of any GSA Schedule, if applicable. Background: Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) is an integrated healthcare system comprised of Medical Centers, the Alvin C. York Campus in Murfreesboro, TN, and the Nashville Campus in Nashville, TN, and many community based outpatient clinics located in Tennessee (Charlotte Avenue, Chattanooga, Clarksville, Tullahoma, McMinnville, Cookeville, Vine Hill and Dover), and Kentucky (Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville, and Bowling Green). TVHS provides ambulatory care, primary care, and secondary care in acute medicine and surgery, specialized tertiary care, transplant services, spinal cord injury, outpatient care, and a full range of extended care and mental health services. The Nashville Campus is the only VA facility that supports all solid organ transplant programs, including total in-house kidney and bone marrow transplants. The Alvin C. York Campus is a network referral center for mental health services, geriatrics, and extended care. TVHS provides a full range of specialized medical services. Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this Vendor Show is to allow Clinical and Non Clinical staffs look at all possible linen/textile products. Products should include all available product lines within the presenting company's inventory. This includes items such towels, blankets, cubical curtains, cloth napkins and specialty care items such as clothing protectors. The objective is to provide specialty care items for our Veterans in the Community Living Center (CLC) which will have a more like home feel. Vendor Show: Vendors that respond to this solicitation will be provided space at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center Auditorium on July 13th thru 14th. All confirmations and responses of attendance to the vendor show must be received by Thursday, July 7, 2011, 3:30 PM CST in order to be considered. ANY RESPONSES RECEIVED AFTER THAT DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in the response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. Respondents will be added to the prospective offerors list for any subsequent solicitation. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. All offerors who provide goods or services to the U.S. Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) located on the web at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation for this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. Confidentiality: No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary information in any resultant solicitation(s).
