- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synposis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance wih the format Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitues the only solicitation: proposals re being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1. Purpose Carrier should provide full range of services required to move office furniture and related files and supplies from the existing location and transport items to new location, and assemble them according to the direction of the Ordering Agency. 2. Period of Performance The time period of performance for this contract shall be six months from the date of contract award. 3. Scope of Work The Carrier shall provide under this agreement all labor, tools, materials, supervision, equipment, and all other services and supplies necessary to perform the following portions of the work required. The contractor shall provide the following packing materials: 5750 boxes and 1150 rolls of packing tape. The contractor shall not exceed the requested quantities. The Carrier shall provide the following services under this agreement: a.Disassembly and reassembly of 100 modular workstations as directed by the Ordering Agency. b.Deliver to and from the HQAMC warehouse space (building 8021) and the HQ AMC temporary facilities a total of 10 desks, 10 office chairs, and ten credenzas, as directed by the Ordering Agency. c.Relocate a total of 1150 personnel as explained below - 1)Relocate 150 personnel between existing HQ AMC temporary facilities located on Redstone Arsenal, which would include not more than 750 boxes and 150 file cabinets. 2)Relocate 1000 personnel from the HQ AMC temporary facilities on Redstone Arsenal to the new permanent facility located at 4400 Martin Road, Redstone Arsenal, which would include not more than 5000 boxes and 1000 file cabinets. d.Relocate a total of twenty 4/5 drawer safes from HQ AMC temporary facilities to the new facility (does not involve stairs). e.Removal of all packing materials, rubbish and debris from government premises is required. f.Removal of all file cabinets identified in 3c(2) above, once emptied by employees, from building 4400 to HQAMC warehouse space (building 8021). g.Provide a total of 200 man hours of light labor. (i.e. hanging white boards and other light display items, moving small pieces of furniture, etc.) h.The Carrier should have a designated move coordinator to direct workers and to insure communications is established with the hiring agency POC for an efficient and successful move. i.Personnel will be responsible for packing their own cubicles/work areas. The contractor will responsible for the movement and relocation of boxes to the new location. 4. Performance Standards The Carrier will meet the following standards: a. All office relocation files and materials moves will be same day moves. b.No more than 50 moves per day will be scheduled. 5. Conditions a.Work to be performed could involve elevators, ramps, and/or stairs (not to exceed one flight). b.Work to be performed may require transporting furniture and files to various buildings within the boundaries of Redstone Arsenal, but not to exceed 10 miles.
