- The United States Air Force, Aeronautical Systems Center, Operational Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is preparing to solicit for a service for the American Board of Preventive Medicine Application and Exam Fees for board certification in the preventive medicine specialties. There are 23 flight surgeon residents requiring board certification as specialists in the specific fields of Aerospace Medicine, General Preventive Medicine, and Occupational Medicine. Becoming Board certified will allow these residents to provide the full services within their specialty. We intend to award this contract sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. All responsible Sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered. The Sole Source is: American Board of Preventive Medicine, Inc. 111 W Jackson Blvd. Suite 1110 Chicago, IL 60604 At this time no small business set-aside is expected: NAICS Code 611710 No hard Copies will be issued for any reason. Once the Solicitation/RFP has been posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for updates to the documents. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
