- LIGHTING VAULT AND ALSF MODIFICATIONS THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The 319th Contracting Flight at Grand Forks AFB, ND is conducting market research to determine the existence of companies that perform work for the above contract. This is not a solicitation announcement or Request for Proposal, and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified/certified, 8(a), HUBZone, Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) - relative to North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 238210. The general scope of the requirement is to furnish all plant, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary to expand the existing lighting vault building, update the existing lighting vault by replacing the existing regulators and the existing generator with new ones. The existing pad mounted transformers will be replaced with new ones and the electrical service to the existing lighting vault will be replaced with a new 480Y/277 volt three-phase four-wire service; all the new regulators will operate with an input voltage of 480 volts. The existing regulators must remain in operation until the new ones are installed. Project also consists of repair of the existing airfield lighting system repair to the existing lighting vault building. Project also consists of upgrading the existing airfield wiring and testing of the existing regulators for Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB). The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated to be between $500,000 to $1,000,000. The state in which the work will take place is Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this sources sought synopsis. The Government is requesting interested contractors to furnish the following information: (a) Firm's INFORMATION [name, address, phone number, CAGE Code]; (b) Firm's INTEREST to qualify [e.g., prime contractor, teaming partner, job venture, primary subcontractor]; (c) STATUS [e.g., 8(a) [including graduation date], HUBZone-certified small business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned small business, small business, large business, etc.]; (d) CAPABILITY STATEMENT [Interested contractors must demonstrate a history of relevant experience similar to the above mentioned requirement and recent (within the last three fiscal years) performance history (identified by contract/project number, project title, dollar amount, point(s) of contact with telephone/fax numbers, and in what capacity (e.g., prime, subcontractor, etc.) performed)]; (e) Provide evidence of BONDING CAPABILITY; If your firm has an interest in proposing on this future requirement as described above, please provide the above documentation and submit to: 319 CONF/LGCA, 575 Tuskegee Airmen Blvd, Grand Forks AFB, ND; fax to (701) 747-4215, or email to paula.reinhard@us.af.mil and queen.mccartney@us.af.mil. Information submitted shall be in sufficient detail as to allow for government review of firm's interest and capabilities. Responses shall be limited to six (6) pages. The government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned or Woman Owned small business firms based on the responses it receives. Once the determination has been made to either set-aside the acquisition or solicit on an unrestricted basis, this requirement will be posted on this website. Any information provided is strictly voluntary. The government will not pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The due date and time for responses to this announcement is no later than 29 June 2011, 4:00 PM CST.
