- Description
- Technical Specifications for UH60 Phase Maintenance Stand System The system shall be constructed of 6000 series aluminum. The system shall employ extruded aluminum decking at least 1.5" thick all work for work surfaces. The system shall employ extruded aluminum stair treads with high-traction grip ribs. The system shall provide sliding deck extensions in 6" increments, with a pneumatic powered locking/unlocking system to allow instantaneous release and locking of all extensions within each deck while on top surface. The system shall provide aluminum safety rails of 1-1/2" square tubing with wall thickness exceeding 1/8", powder coated safety yellow, and compliant with all OSHA standards for safety railing. The system shall employ 8" low-friction, maintenance-free casters with aluminum cores and urethane wheels. The casters shall include foot-operated face brakes and 4 position indexing pins. The system shall be designed and constructed in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards for stairways, walkways, work decks, and manually propelled work platforms. Each individual deck must be working load rated at a minimum of 800 lbs, and engineered to withstand a force equal to 4x the load rating without failing. All surfaces that may interface with aircraft surfaces shall incorporate soft durometer D-shaped rubber bumpers. All linear actuators must provide removable cranks. All stair modules must attach without the use of bolts or pins that must be inserted through aligned holes, and must connect and disconnect instantaneously. All safety rails on work decks shall be designed and constructed to allow tool-free removal, relocation, and re-installation with no separate or unattached parts, and shall not be of post-and-socket design. All adjustable height deck legs shall be of the telescopic design and utilize lubrication-free bearings. Adjustable decks will have no more than one manually activated linear actuator per end. All structural aluminum must be domestically produced. The tail rotor work deck module shall be of a one-piece design. All stair modules shall be of the variable-pitch adjustable design, providing equal increments between stair treads throughout the range of heights, while maintaining a consistent distance from the floor to the first step. All stair modules shall be designed to operate independent of other modules, and shall be designed to attach either parallel or perpendicular to work decks bridges.
