- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed scope for this project includes full-depth and width Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement replacement of the northern segment of Taxiway B from N1 to Runway 23L. The segment of Taxiway B to be reconstructed is approximately 2,900 feet long by 75 feet wide and is required to be capable of supporting Air Force medium load aircraft traffic. Work is to include removal of the existing pavements, removal and installation of approximately 17 inches of PCC and aggregate drainage layer with sub-drains, relocation of existing taxiway edge lighting, and repair of the haul route. In areas of HMA shoulders, 3 feet of shoulder pavement will be removed to accommodate the under-drain system and an additional 7 feet of HMA shoulder will be milled to allow for smooth pavement tie-in and repair of existing shoulder defects. Grooving and pavement marking of the taxiway will be required. Phased construction may be required and the taxiway shall remain in operation during winter construction shutdown. Contract duration is estimated at 365 Days. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS is 237310. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 29 June 2011by 12:00 Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: new airfield pavement construction with full depth replacement b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Minimum 248,000 Square feet in size. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $5,000,000 Based on the definitions above, for each project submitted, include: a. Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. b. Scope of the project. c. Size of the project. d. Dollar value of the project. e.
