Description
This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 2167478 and solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. Delivery and acceptance will be at Bethesda, Maryland. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) has a requirement for a Generation of Conditional Knock Out Mouse Model. The mouse model has the following requirements: 1) Locus characterization, 2) Conditional Knockout targeting vector construction and DNA sequencing, 3) Transfection of vector into C57BL/6 ES ES cells, 4) Isolation of targeted ES cell clones and molecular validation by Southern analysis with external and internal probes, 5) Injection of targeted ES cell clones(s) into diploid blastocysts, 6) Chimera generation, and 7) Crossbreeding of chimeric with Flpe Deleter mice for in-vivo selection marker deletion and to generate mice heterozygous for the Conditional Knock out allele. The provisions at 52.212, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, is applies to this acquisition. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items is applicable. Specific evaluation criteria: (1) Ability in targeting vector design & construction, (2) Ability in targeting C57BL/ 6 ES cells, and (3) Generation of mice heterozygous for the conditional Knock out. Offeror must include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
