- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to provide Mail/Supply Room Services for Great Lakes Regional Offices located at the 2300 East Devon Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois 60018. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business firms NAICS code 561499 (Mail/Supply Room Services). Contractors to provide proof that they have an active business office for a minimum of one (1) year that is within a one hundred mile (100) radius of the FAA (RO), Great Lakes Regional Office 2300 East Devon Avenue Des Plaines, Illinois 60018. (Map Quest will be the tool used to determine distance from contractors address to the Great Lakes Regional Office (RO). Also the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration website at http://www.ccr.gov at the time the offer is made. The performance period will be October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 with four (4) one year option periods. The estimated price range for the initial base year and additional four (4) option year renewals is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued approximately August 12, 2011. To qualify to receive a copy of this Request for Proposal (RFP) prospective bidders must provide evidence that your firm is classified as a Small Business as defined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) (annual revenues not to exceed $16.5 Million Dollars, averaged over the past three (3) years) and have an active business address within a one hundred (100) radius of the Great Lakes Regional Office 2300 East Devon Avenue Des Plaines, Illinois 60018. The deadline for making RFP requests is August 9, 2011 by Close of Business (COB) 4:30 PM. All requests to receive a copy must be in writing via e-mail or fax to the Contracting Officer Shirley Jones Shirley.A.Jones@faa.gov, at 847-294-8312, with the company name, name of contact person, mailing address, telephone number, email address, and the complete RFP number. No telephone request or request after the deadline of August 9, 2011, will be accepted. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
