Description

Signature Page Sole Source Justification The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC), Residue Chemistry and Predictive Microbiology Research Unit (RCPM), intends to negotiate solely with PS Analytical, in Deerfield Beach, FL. to purchase an Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometer. System for total and speciation of As and Hg One each of: 1) Millennium Merlin Automated Mercury Analysis System for low level mercury determination supplied ready to run and includes atomic fluorescence detector, vapour generator integrated Perma Pure Dryer system, Millinnium windows software, interface cables, installation kit, consumables kit and user manuals-Part No. 10.025; 2) Millennium Excalibur system for low level As, Se, Sb, Te aned Bi determination, includes atomic fluorescence detector, vapour generator integrated Perma Pure Dryer system, Millennium windows software, interface cables, installation kit, user manuals -Part No. 10.055X; 3) Arsenic (As) Boosted Discharge Lamp-E033L001; 4) Speciation Starter Kit-M025K006; 5) UV Cracker Kit (normally used for MeHg, EtHg, and AsB) & heated coil (SeVl, Organic Se species) S570U100; 6) Assemby: Speciation Cooling -S570C100; Column 7) Column: PSAC1-PRPX 100SAX 250mm x 4.1mm 10um (As III, V, DMA, MMA) )SeIV,VI); 8) Column:PSAC3=5um 250mmx4.6mm C18 (Hg II, MMC, EMC etc.) This equipment will be used for research to develop new methods for determination and speciation of mercury and arsenic contaminants in foods of animal and plant origins. ERRC will be responsible for installation. Companies with the demonstrated capabilities of providing this instrument must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment's components and availability. The NAICS is 334516. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address within 5 days of publication of this notice (August 10, 2011). This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
