Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice W911S8-11-R-0016 Fire Rescue Training Facility Maintenance 1. The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Washington intends to solicit proposals for a contractor to provide maintenance and services for the Fire Rescue Training Facility on JBLM, Washington. A complete Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be included in the solicitation. The Request for Proposals (RFP) number is W911S8-11-R-0016 2. The solicitation will result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed-price requirements contract. The applicable NAICS code is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and electronic) Repair and Maintenance. This procurement is set aside for small business. 3. The anticipated contract period is a base period 1 January 2012 - 31 December 2012 with four one-year option periods. 4. Description of services - The contractor shall provide all tools, supplies, labor, equipment and labor/management necessary to maintain and repair the Aircraft Fire Rescue Training Facility at JBLM, McChord Field in a manner that will ensure its serviceability and prevent deterioration in operational effectiveness. Included are the Aircraft Fire Rescue Training Facility (The AFRTF) consists of the aircraft mock-up, prop, burn area, its controls, conservation pond, pump house, liquid propane fuel system and a 10,000 gallon propane tank. 5. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fbo.gov/ and the solicitation will also be posted on the JBLM MICC website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc/, under Solicitations. The tentative solicitation issue date is 15 Sept 2011 and the anticipated closing date is 18 Oct 2011. Interested offerors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times. 6. Offers from all capable and responsible sources will be considered. Firms offering a response to this notice should ensure that they are registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov/ and ensure that the applicable NAICS code 811310 is included in the CCR profile prior to submission of proposals. 7.
