Background Information for the Event: The Department of Veterans Affairs wants to solicit input and expertise from supplier leaders involved in VA's end-to-end acquisition process. To that end, healthcare service providers, management firms, medical equipment suppliers, trade associations, construction firms, etc. with various levels of this experience are invited to attend a Supplier Relationship Transformation Forum in San Francisco, CA on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. This is an opportunity for you to help VA transform and improve its end-to-end acquisition process. Participants will also benefit from an exceptional opportunity to network with and gain insider knowledge from industry peers. II. Objectives of the Event: "Attain facilitated feedback on VA acquisition processes from suppliers and commodity groups. Facilitators will focus time and attention in the breakout sessions on specific changes that VA has implemented, and/or on specific points of controversy to solicit participant reactions and advice. "Provide suppliers with more information on what VA has done and what it has accomplished with its transformation project. "Solicit information from participants about the changes they've observed, what's improved, and what's gotten worse throughout the transformation project. III.
