Description
This project contributes to the preparation of a museum collection management plan for Independence National Historical Park (INDE), a unit of the National Park Service in Philadelphia PA. For this project, a contractor will assess three areas of the park's museum collection management program according to prescribed professional standards. The assessment will identify areas of non-conformity to these standards and make recommendations to bring these areas into conformity. The three areas to be assessed are:"museum records-- storage, preservation, organization"collection storage and exhibition"collection preservation-- museum environment and agents of deterioration, collection preservation and maintenance. All work shall be in accordance with the attached documents. Collection Management Plan Background Information 1. Museum Records 2. Collection Storage and Exhibition 3. Collection Preservation Two site visits will be held, the first on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM and the second on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM.. Prospective quoters should meet at the reception area of Park Headquarters, 143 S. 3rd Street. Karie Diethorn will be the COTR on this project and will conduct the site visit. Quotes shall be forwarded to the following address no later than 4:00 PM on August 30, 2011. Quoters shall include 3 references for similar projects with their quote. They should also write their Dun and Bradstreet number on the front of their package. Quoters must be registered in the Central Contractor Database (ccr.bpn.gov) at time of submission of quote. Award will be firm fixed price and will be made to the responsive, responsive contractor with the lowest priced quote. If there is an amendment to the solicitation, contractor will need to acknowledge that they received the amendment. The NAICS code is 712110. PSC Code is R499. Small business size standard is $7.0 million. Length of project is 90 days. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 53. FOB point will be destination.
