Description
The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacificon behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO), Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack, Small Form Fit (HMS) intends to issue a solicitation to provide for the purchase of Single-Channel, Handheld Radios, components, and accessories. A Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Fixed-Price type contract is anticipated. The prospective contract will have a two year base period followed by two, one-year option periods. This solicitation is a follow-on to existing contracts N66001-07-D-0054/0107 with Harris Corporation and Thales Communications, Inc. Additional information will be available on the SPAWAR e-commerce website under "future opportunities" as it becomes available. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. It is currently anticipated that Solicitation N66001-12-R-0003 regarding this requirement will be released on or about November 15, 2011. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the SPAWAR E- Commerce Central web site at https://e-commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil, under "Business Opportunities, SSC Pacific", "Open Solicitations." The solicitation will only be available electronically at this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor the SPAWAR E-Commerce page for updates and new listings. The draft Performance Requirements Document (PRD) has been posted to the aforementioned site for comment. Comments or questions in response to the draft PRD are due no later than 16 September 2011.
