- Description
- The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-11-RP-0330 for the following service: The contractor shall be required to provide V1 Upright Granite Headstone Inscribed and V5 Upright Granite Headstone Civil War Confederate Inscribed - Nationwide. Potential offerors will submit, at contractor expense, one granite sample (15"x 12"x 3/4") representative of the gray granite to be used in the production of headstones under the contract. The granite sample must conform to government specifications must be submitted for approval. Mark each sample on the back with permanent marker to show: contractor's name and solicitation number, email address and cemetery name. Any sample which arrives damaged will not be accepted. A sample conforming to the dimensions of each type of blank for which a proposal is planned, must be submitted (reference drawings for dimensions and tolerances). Samples must be accompanied by a statement identifying the brand name and grit rating for the pad or stone used to produce the final finish. This sample should be received and approved prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The contractor shall be responsible for inscriptions, packaging and delivery nationwide. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Price; 2) Technical Qualifications, and 3) Past Performance. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS Code is 327991. Size standard is 500 employees. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov on or about August 15, 2011. Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 2:00 P.M. on August 29, 2011. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining any amendments. ****NOTE - All potential offerors who have submitted and received approval notification for a sample of same type within the last 12 months may submit a copy of that approved review with the bid to avoid submitting another sample.***** ****NOTE - All Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses shall be listed in VetBiz and been verified at time of contract award. ****
