Description

The Contract Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Avid Technology, Inc. cage code (1CWH5) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Training Department, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for 1 each Avid ISIS 5000 32 TB includes 1 year Priority Service 7500-30120-01, 4 each Intel Pro 1000PT GigE Dual Port ConnectionCard 7030-20139-01, 1 each Low Profile Monitor, Keyboard Mouse w cables 7010-04655-01, 1 each Spare Kit 7010-30255-01. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items that meet the agency ™s need. The material must work in conjunction with the Avid Video Editing Software currently in place. Therefore, the government intends to procure these supplies on a sole source basis from Avid Technology, Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
