Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for a Flash Purification System for the U.S. Army Research Institute of Infectious Disease (USAMRIID). This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. This is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325416. Minimum Essential Characteristics for the Flash Purification System are the following: Should be able to separate organic compounds using a single cartridge system. Should have the capability of using 4 solvents in a single binary gradient. Should be able to use a two constant volume (3-mL) electric HPFC pumps as a solvent delivery system. Should accommodate flow rates of 1-200 mL/minute. Should allow for pressures up to 145 psi (10 bar). Should have a dual-wavelength (200-400 nm) detector. Should allow for samples to be collected in test tubes (13, 16, 18, and 25 mm) and bottles (120 mL, 240 mL, and 480 mL). Should have automated fraction collection capacity. Should have an on-board computer with a touch-screen interface. Should have approximate dimensions of 14" x 23.5" x 19.6". Should weigh approximately 66-77 lbs. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about August 10, 2011 and will only be available until August 31, 2011. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-11-T-0552 Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at https://ccr.gov/ and may have completed its representations and certification found at https://orca.bpn.gov/.
