- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), National Veterinary Services laboratories (NVSL) intends to solicit quotes for the production of 2 subtypes of Avian Influenza (AI) Vaccine, Killed Virus, with equal doses to be produced for each subtype. NVSL has established an AI Vaccine Bank to ensure an adequate supply of high quality vaccine the Government is considering a firm fixed priced, requirements type contract of Avian Influenza Vaccine. The duration of this contract will be base period of 5 years with one Option period for an additional 5 years for a total of 10 years, date of award September 2011 through September 2021. The USDA intends to award a Firm-fixed price commercial contract for this effort This will be a best value procurement. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP) AG-6395-S-11-0105, will be released on or about August 16, 2011 and posted on this FEDBIZOPPS website. Please download the RFP from this website. All responsible offers may submit an offer to the solicitation. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site.
