- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Picatinny, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. 07806-5000, on behalf of the Product Manager Crew Served Weapons, has awarded basic contract modifications P00009 based on Limited Competition to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP), located at 128 Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401-4939 and Alliant Techsystems, Inc. (ATK), located at 3309 N Reseda Circle, Mesa, AZ 85215-9103 on August 4, 2011 and August 5, 2011 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B). These modifications to GDATP and ATKs basic contracts were to increase the ceiling quantities for an additional maximum quantity of 760 MK19 Mod 3 40MM Grenade Machine Guns (GMG) and 20 MK19 Training Aids to the existing multiple award IDIQ Firm Fixed Price contracts W15QKN-08-D-0459 and W15QKN-08-D-0460. The overall contract effort is to manufacture, inspect, assemble, package and ship MK19s GMG and MK19 Training Aids. All delivery orders will be competed between the current MK19 producers. General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products and Alliant Techsystems, Inc. has asserted their rights restricting release of unit pricing information under the Freedom of Information Act IAW ARDEC Clause 52.224-4001 AS7029 (Formerly ARDEC 163). The US Government reserves the right to challenge this assertion at such time as FOIA request is made. Please note that this notice does not constitute as a Request for Proposal.
