Combined Synopsis/Solicitation No. Q157411A077Amendment 0001August 15, 2011 Project Title: Boardwalk Lumber for Yellowstone National Park Description of Changes: This amendment provides responses to questions received on solicitation Q157411A077 as follows: Question 1:Will your employees unload the truck at the delivery site? Response 1:Yes, the National Park Service will have employees and equipment on-site to unload the lumber. Delivery must be made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Question 2:Does the untreated lumber need to be kiln dried or green?Response 2:Kiln dried is preferred. Question 3:Can the lumber be stud grade?Response 3: No. We require number 2 or better. No stud grade will be accepted. Question 4:In regard to the 2"x6"x6', would it be acceptable to cut it in half. Response 4:Yes, this is acceptable. Question 5:Do you care if we ship 12' lengths instead of 6' lengths?Response 5:12' lengths are acceptable. Offers must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the hour and date specified in the solicitation or as amended by one of the following methods: Signing and dating this amendment and returning with offer;By acknowledging receipt of this amendment on each copy of the offer submitted; orBy separate letter or telegram which includes a reference to the solicitation and amendment numbers. FAILURE OF YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO BE RECEIVED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED FOR THE RECEIPT OFFERS PRIOR TO THE HOUR AND DATE SPECIFIED MAY RESULT IN REJECTION OF YOUR OFFER. If by virtue of the amendment you desire to change an offer already submitted, such change may be made by telegram or letter, provided each telegram or letter makes reference to the solicitation and this amendment, and is received prior to the opening hour and date specified.
