Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement to provide Water Treatment Services for the hot and steam boilers, chillers and cooling towers located at the Air Route Traffic Control Center, (ARTCC), 1850 S. Sigsbee Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Services are to commence on or about October 1, 2011 thru September 30, 2012 for an initial Base Year, plus Four (4) One-Year Option Periods running from October thru September. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation and supervision to provide Water Treatment Services. Company must have at a minimum three (3) years of quality experience within the trade they are performing work. Company must have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year prior to award and have an office within a fifty (50) mile radius of the facility located at Air Route Traffic Control Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Map Quest will be the site used to determine the distance. No Post Office Box Address will be accepted. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Past Performance. The Government is seeking offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the greatest value of "Best Buy" offers. Therefore, award may be made to other than the lowest offer. The contractor and all employees of this contract will be subject to a Background Investigation by the FAA Security Division. Only firms who meet the above referenced qualifications may request a (SIR). Companies who meet the above requirements shall fax or e-mail their request to Peggy Duncan, Acentia at (847) 294-8050 or e-mail: Peggy.Ctr.Duncan@faa.gov, on company letterhead showing the office mailing address, telephone number, and the complete SIR number. Company mailing address must be within the fifty mile (50) mile radius of the Indianapolis, Indiana site. All other requests will not be accepted. No phone requests will be accepted. Request for the SIR's will not be accepted after August 23, 2011. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000,for the initial base year with 4 option years. The contractor awarded the contract must have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov NAICS Code is 541620 This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
