Attachment 1 - Description and Specifications Contracting Office Address: Department of the Air Force, Air Force Material Command, AAC-Air Armament Center, AAC/PKET 205 West D Avenue, Eglin AFB FL 32542-6864 Description This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of a market survey. The Air Armament Center (AAC), 46th Test Wing, 46th Test Group, Detachment 2 (NRTF), Holloman AFB NM, seeks potential sources to provide a Heavy Lift Crane. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CAREFULLY AND ENSURE THE CAPABILITY STATEMENT HAS THE REQUIRED CONTENT. The NRTF is seeking interested and qualified sources to provide a new or remanufactured heavy lift crane. Requirements and specifications are at Attachment 1. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333120, Construction Machinery Manufacturing, SBA Size Standard 750 employees. Interested sources are requested to provide a capability statement addressing the ability to meet the requirements set forth at Attachment 1. Firms responding to this sources sought are asked to provide the following information in their response: company's full name, cage code, Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, business size, address, point of contact, email address, and a capability statement with the following information: 1. How would you fulfill these requirements (i.e., make, model, specifications, etc.) 2. What are the load capabilities and limitations of the crane you would propose? 3. Does it meet or exceed the required heights and radius? Please limit your response to five pages. Responses should be received no later than 6 September 2011. See numbered note 25. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to appropriate Government personnel. When required, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman, but rather to the POCs listed below. For any other concerns, interested parties may call the AAC Ombudsman, Col David A. Harris, at (850) 882-5422. No solicitation is being issued at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Participation is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. Comments and/or suggestions for improvements to the requirements are welcomed. Capability Statements may be submitted electronically or regular mail.. No Collect Calls will be accepted.
