Description

Combined Synopis/Solicitation, Sole Source Justification The Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, Division of Acquisition Management, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to The American Science and Engineering, Inc. This requirement is for one year of maintenance to three X-ray machines located in the Hubert H Humphrey Building, Washington, DC. The maintenance shall include the following seven tasks: 1) Full parts, labor, and expenses coverage during the period of performance 2) One preventive visit for the following units: G6040-4133, G6040-4134, G6040-4135, and Gemini 100100 scheduled at a time agreeable to The Government and American Science & Engineering 3) Consumables 4) 100 percent X-ray tube coverage for the contract period 5) Disposal of Parts 6) American Science & Engineering will pay for all freight for any parts which may be required to repair Government systems during the contract period 7) Follow-up operator and basic image training during Pm's at no additional cost. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within its discretion. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
