- Description
- This notice is for informational purposes only. This modification was awarded to Ketchum, the current holder of the HITECH Education and Outreach task order. The task order was modified to continue additional campaign activities with the Electronic Health Records (EHR)/Health Information Technology (HIT) Outreach Campaign. The period of performance for this modification will end on August 8, 2012. The type of task order award and modification is Cost Plus Fixed Fee. It is not possible at to estimate the exact nature/complexity of the work with any degree of certainty. During the course of a multimedia and education campaign, tactics can change frequently and quickly. For example, the original media buy plan may included a set amount of print, radio and television ad buys. However, during the term of the task order, events may necessitate a change in tactics (frequently), causing a shift in the amount allocated for ad buys. As the work progresses, it may become apparent that the strategy needs to change; still within the task order budget, but with a different approach. A cost-type task order will allow for these changes to take place seamlessly (with technical direction), while a fixed price task order may require numerous change orders and equitable adjustments that could impact the program needs of the campaign.
