Description
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) through the National Highway Institute (NHI) intends to award multiple 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts under which Fixed Price Task Order will be issued. The Task Orders may require for the development, update, and delivery of instructor-led and distance learning courses in the subject areas of Highway Safety and/or Business, Public Administration, and Quality. The NAICS Code for this effort is 611430 with a Business Size Standard of $7 Million. The period of performance shall not exceed 60 months. The National Highway Institute (NHI) is the technical training arm of the Federal Highway Administration, and as such plays a vital role in the FHWA's overall effort to provide training in new and evolving highway related technologies. The target audience is very broad, and includes Federal, state and local highway and transportation agencies located within the United States, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Centers, associations, consulting firms, private industry, universities and other national and international entities engaged in highway work of interest to the United States. The typical types of courses currently being offered or under development, the course objectives, and the target audiences are described on the NHI Website at http://www.nhi.fhwa.dot.gov/. The objective of this program is to effectively and efficiently develop and deliver a timely program of high quality training in the broad areas of Highway Safety and/or Business, Public Administration, and Quality.
