Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Construction & Facilities Management (CFM) intends to sole source with AT&T to provide Bakersfield National Cemetery with reliable secure internet service, a T-1 line upgrade is required. This involves upgrading of the existing copper line from the AT&T Walker Basin Central Office to the Bakersfield National Cemetery. Work shall include but not limited to design and build span for DS1 provisioning to the Bakersfield National Cemetery from the Walker Basin Central Office. Work shall include the placement of fourteen (14) new apparatus cases and 34 repeaters on existing copper cable, the removal of fourteen existing buried loads, and the placement of one Tellabs UMC DMAX-2 in a 52 BP cabinet for Midspan powering. AT&T is to obtain all permits and install commercial power. The applicable NAICS code is 237990. The Government intends to issue a single award as a sole source and anticipates awarding of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) to AT&T.
