Description
Notice of Intent to Sole-Source This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is intended only for informational purposes. Information received will be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Philadelphia VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of 41 USC 253(g) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 for an ArcCheck QA System via sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to the Sun Nuclear Corporation. The system will include the following: 1.ArcCheck (cylindrical detector array for rotational delivery QA and conventional IMRT QA) 2.ArcCheck cavity plug (two piece PMMA) 3.ArcCheck software and hardware maintenance standard annual maintenance agreement 4.Customer training (one-day onsite by qualified Sun Nuclear Representative) 5.3DVH (software for 3D and DVH dose analysis on patient geometry w/ full DICOM CT data overlay capabilities) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This constitutes the only announcement and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this equipment is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) and the size standard is $7 million. The Classification Code is 65 (Medical Equipment). The VA intends to award one contract for the above-mentioned requirement. The contract will be a fixed price contract.
