- RE-ISSUE OF RFQ R11PS6A026 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and another written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation #R11PS6A036 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). All quotes to reference this RFQ number and shall be submitted by 4:00 PM, MST, on September 6, 2011. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41. This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 333911. The small business size is 500 employees. The following FAR clauses apply and can be viewed at www.acquisition.gov. Commercial clauses 52.212-01, 52.212-04, and 52.212-05; additional clauses 52.204-03, 52.204-06, 52.211-06, 52.223-18, 52.225-03, 52.225-05, 52.232-25, 52.232-33, Offerors can submit offers to: Bureau of Reclamation, Attn: Tonya A. Line Item 1: Peerless Submersible Pump 1 each - Hitachi submersible motor- Type VT1 (The type and form indicators are manufacturer specific info. so you must reference Hitachi)- Form KK- 10 inch motor size- Motor shaft size 1.937" with ?" square key - 125 HP- 3 phase- 4 pole- 460 volts- 60 Hz- 175 amps- 1750 rpm- 416 Stainless Steel motor coupling (3.50 inch O.D. x 6.00 inch L)- Service Factor 1.15- Locked rotor code letter C or D- Design C- Time rating - continuous duty - Full load efficiency 85.8- Full load power factor 78.6- Type of enclosure- water filled- 10,000 lbs. thrust bearing- 50 ft of 2/0 cable - Motor Shell and Shaft must be stainless steel to withstand water pH between 6.5 - 8 and sand content up to 50 PPM.- Motor must function at ? 10% of rated voltage and frequency.- Motor may be placed in unheated storage and factory installed antifreeze solution must be able to withstand temperatures down to (minus) -30?F for up to 5 days.- Due to the fact that the initial hookup of phase rotation may be wrong, the thrust bearing must be unaffected by rotation backspin.- Each pump motor at Diamond Creek Pumping Plant is paired with a capacitor to correct power factor to 95% at full load. The full load efficiency and the full load power factor characteristics of the new motor would have to be the same as the existing to allow this to continue. - A complete submersible motor/pump assembly is being purchased, although it may not be used as such. The failure mode for a Diamond Creek "pump" is either the pump or motor, but typically not both at the same time. The component that did not fail is often found to have serviceable life left. In that event, an existing motor or pump is then mated to a new motor or pump. This requires that the new motor be an identical bolt on replacement to an existing Peerless Pump and that a new pump be an identical bolt on replacement to an existing Hitachi Motor. - Peerless 18HH complete single stage turbine pump assembly - Pumping capacity of 5000 gpm at an elevation of 5412.20 feet and a maximum head of 65 feet.- Pump shall contain a 7 vane, B584 (or C83600) bronze impeller.- Pump shall contain an impeller shaft with a diameter of 2-3/16ths inch and be made of 416 stainless steel.- Pump must contain a stationary C93200 bronze up thrust bearing to absorb momentary up thrust which may occur at startup.- Pump must have Sand Lugs cast into the bowl to reduce wear, erosion, maintain efficiency and lengthen pump life.- Pump mounting bolt pattern shall be connected to a standard 14" Schedule 30S pipe flange.- Pump suction interconnector must contain an extra-long C93200 bronze bearing with a minimum of a 5: 1 length to shaft diameter ratio to prevent radial thrust loads from being transmitted to the motor.- Pump suction interconnector must contain a C92700 Bronze sand collar over bronze interconnector bearing to prevent abrasives from entering bearing.
