- Contractor will develop a web-based, training program designed to teach clinicians the basics of family consultation and engagement. Specific requirements are as follows: 1)The training program will consist of 5 learning modules that are self-paced and designed to take approximately 30 minutes each to complete. 2)Web interface must be simple, intuitive and easy to navigate. Interface will include navigation and volume control. 3)Each module will make extensive use of video as well as audio narrative that is linked to graphic and text presentation of information. Each module will include frequent quizzes and other e-learning methods to ensure that information is understood. Each module will end with a brief summary. 4)Deliverable 1 “ Content development, detailed work plan, and technical proposal a.Contractor is responsible for developing content based on written and video materials supplied by the MIRECC. b.The Contractor shall provide a detailed work plan (development plan) and a technical proposal (functional design document). c.Contractor will present the content, the work plan, and the technical proposal for completing the project during the first scheduled weekly meeting. 5)Deliverable 2 “ Software development and quality assurance testing a.Once contractor receives final approval from the MIRECC in regard to content, contractor is responsible for recording audio, collecting graphics, and compiling and uploading content into application. b.Quality assurance testing will be performed by contractor at each step of the software development process. c.The MIRECC will conduct a final round of testing on the beta version prior to installation on VA server. 6)Deliverable 3 “ Installation of software on VA server a.Contractor will make source code available via file sharing website to be downloaded and installed by the designated project IT Administrator. Contractor shall provide Help/Quick-Start guide for setting up the application on the server, as well as an overview of the applications security, and any technical assistance needed for installation. 7)Deliverable 4 “ Testing of software on VA server and signoff a.Contractor and the MIRECC will conduct a final round of testing of the software on the VA server. Contractor qualifications: Experience with designing educational/training websites is essential; contractor must have a track record of developing educational software. Contractor must have experience in developing interactive design grounded in the learning literature. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with the VA on web-based training of therapists and/or other health professionals. The contractor must be able to work with VA experts to develop the training content and ideas and design and develop engaging interactive online training courses for VA health professionals. Contractor will have team members with background expertise in the areas of health and/or science to be able to communicate with our experts to improve design and development efficiency. Minority owned businesses are preferred.
