Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). The 633d Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB, Virginia is seeking the interest of potential and eligible contractors for: HOBART SWS40 TRANSFER PUMP OR EQUAL. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts, and labor necessary to purchase/acquire, connect and install the Hobart WPS-1200 Waste Pro System, or equal, and the Hobart SWS40 Transfer Pump, or equal, in the Crossbow Dining Facility in Bldg 140 located at 49 Spruce Street, Langley AFB, VA 23665. The objective of the service is to connect the food pulper in the kitchen of the Crossbow Dining Facility. The system is used to greatly reduce the amount of solid waste by "grinding" food scraps into very fine pieces, while removing water from the scraps. A transfer pump is also a mandatory requirement for the food pulper operation. It is used to recycle the water from the food scraps and the water used in the system, ultimately reducing the need for fresh water. The contractor shall remove and replace a section of the steel wash station. Next, the contractor shall install both the food pulper and transfer pump. All plumbing necessary for installation of the transfer pump shall be completed by the contractor. In addition, power supply needs to be added near the food pulper to supply power. The electrical work shall be completed by the contractor. A 3-phase, 208v, 35a circuit will be connected to the food pulper and transfer pump. A disconnect box (switch) shall be mounted on the wall above dishwashing sink. The machine shall be connected to a spare circuit on an existing breaker. A push button shall be installed no farther than 20 feet away from equipment location. The contractor will provide the government a cost estimate and receive approval before accomplishing the job. The contractor shall provide all warranty documentation to the government after the equipment is installed and tested. The contractor will also provide hands-on operational training to the uses at the Crossbow Dining Facility. Utilities: The government will furnish the use of electricity in the area of the job so the two machines can be connected. Facility Access: The government will provide access to the facility. For access, contact Mr. Tony Skwirut at 757-764-7189 or Mr. Michael Mallozzi at 757-764-1141. The facility will never be entered without the permission or knowledge of one of these individuals. If needed, they will either provide or arrange escorts for the contractor. In case of a National Defense Crisis, the contractor will contact the contracting officer to arrange scheduling the repair. The contracting officer will in turn contact the equipment users, Mr. Tony Skwirut at 757-764-7189, and will arrange for either escort duty for the contractor or will arrange for the work to take place at another date and time both agreed upon by the contractor, the contracting officer, and the equipment users. All work will be accomplished between the hours of 0800-1700. Submit company information to Lori Fischer via email at the following address lori.fischer@langley.af.mil and to Melissa Tamayo at melissa.tamayo@langley.af.mil.
