- United States Coast Guard Base Support Unit Facilities Engineering Division Bldg. 97 Elizabeth City, NC 27909 Statement of Work Description: Provide one (1) packaged air cooled scroll liquid chiller with a nominal rating of Fifty-Two (52) tons. For equipment specifications see below. Destination: FOB: U.S. Coast Guard Base Building 8 Parking Lot Elizabeth City, NC 27909 Equipment Specifications: • Rated Capacity: Forty-nine Tons (49 tons) • Nominal Capacity: Fifty-Two Tons (52 tons) • Unit Type: Packaged air cooled scroll liquid chiller • Electrical Requirements: 460 volt/ 3 phase/ 60 hertz (single point connection) with across the line starter • Provide factory mounted and wired control power transformer. • Refrigerant Type: HFC-410A ( system to be fully charged with refrigerant) • Chiller shall have a Full load efficiency rating (EER rating) of 10 or greater • Provide factory installed louvered condenser hail guards to cover condenser coils. These guards to be painted to match chiller. Wire screens are not an acceptable equal. • Unit shall have four (4) direct drive, hermetic, scroll type compressors. Reciprocating compressors are not acceptable. • Chiller shall have dual independent refrigerant circuits. • Factory installed 120 volt/ 1 phase/ 60 hz electric heat tape on chiller barrel capable of preventing cooler freeze-up. • Factory applied closed cell foam insulation on evaporator chiller barrel. • Provide factory installed low ambient head pressure controls for cooling down to 25 degrees F ambient temperature. • Condenser fan motors shall be direct drive and be controlled by variable frequency drives (VDF) • Unit shall have four (4) condenser fans • Provide factory installed over/under voltage protection. • Unit shall be rated for outdoor use • Provide factory installed phase failure/reversal protection. • Provide factory installed operating charge of refrigerant and oil. • Condenser coils shall have a factory applied coating to resist corrosion • Provide factory installed compressor starts counter and run time meter for each compressor. • Provide elastomeric vibration isolator pads as recommended and required by the equipment manufacturer for placement • Provide factory installed microprocessor unit controller for control of leaving water temperature. Controller shall display entering and leaving water temperatures, operating mode and diagnostic service information. • Provide a NEMA 4 water flow switch for field mounting and wiring by the installer. • Provide all factory original, Installation, Operation and Maintenance manuals. • Provide minimum of five (5) year manufacturers compressor warranty • Provide the services of the manufacturer's authorized factory service company for the initial start-up and check-out. • Provide the services of the manufacturer's authorized factory service company for twelve (12) month labor warranty after date of acceptance. • Provide the services of the manufacturer's authorized factory service for four (4) hours of Owner Training. Training is not to be conducted concurrently with chiller start-up.
