Description

Sole Source Justification Sole Source TO PROCURE a 6 month maintenance agreement for 7 Axsys camera systems, a multiple source intelligence (MULTI-INT) platform including the following sensor systems: Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) wide area, HD EO/IR spot ball, and various signals intelligence (SIGNIT) systems, as well as, the associated Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) ground station. These cameras are being used in an operational demonstration in Afghanistan and require repairs when the cameras malfunction. The maintenance agreement will allow continued maintenance support for cameras during the operational demonstration. This is a Sole Source procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item/service for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed source is Axsys Technologies, 380 Crown Point Plaza, Grass Valley, CA. 95945. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
