- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. ONE TO THECOMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR OneFULL SPECTRUM SOLAR SIMULATOR.Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in theirquote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a writtenamendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to revise and replace the specifications listed in theoriginal synopsis/ solicitation for the required item as follows: This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for one full spectrum solarsimulator that simulates the solar spectrum from 250-2500 nm. The simulator must be ableto simulate natural solar radiation outside of the earths atmosphere and at the surfaceof the earth. The area under the beam must be no less than 8 x 8 inches.Other critical requirements: 1. Must provide 1000 w/m2 output, that is 1 sun, with air mass 0 and 1.2. Provide Spectral irradiance (plot and data file to be provided) over the solarspectrum from 250-1700 nm, measurement to be NIST traceable.3. Must produce a highly collimated and uniform output beam no less than 8 x 8 inches.4. Uniformity +/- 5%, Collimation +/- 2 degrees.5. Air mass filters (AM 0 and AM1) to shape the output spectra.6. 1600 watt Xenon arc lamp7. Temporal stability:0.5% STI and <2.0% LTI (short term and long term temporalinstability)8. Light ripple < 1%.9. Field replaceable lamps.10. Safety interlocks; door panel and thermal protection, fan cooled.11. Highly regulated power supply with power control correction factor, with remote RS232control features. 12. Warranty, minimum one year.13. Must also include all of the necessary and compatible power supplies, testinginstruments, interconnecting cables, manuals, and any other relevant hardware needed tomake the full spectrum solar simulator a single turn-key system that will be ready to use'out of the box' upon receipt. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to September 13, 2011, no later than 1:00PM Pacific Time.Companies shall provide all the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on August24, 2011 on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS).
