- 65 Foot Spec Doc SOW Solicitation Tboat This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for drydock and repairs for one 65' training boat located at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12..6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation only; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is 21-11-391PFS166 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13. Description: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, materials, testing and dry-docking of one USCG Academy 65 foot training vessel. Work is to include the following in accordance with 65 foot specification document: 1. General Welding 2. Ultrasonic Testing (UT) (100) Shots, Inspection 3. Remove, inspect and install propeller, 4. Perform minor propeller repair 5. Remove, inspect and reinstall rudder 6. Renew water lubricated shaft bearings 7. Overhaul sea valves 8. Preserve underwater body 9. Renew cathodic protection / zincs 10. Provide certified marine chemist to determine welding conditions 11. Provide routine drydocking 12. Provide temporary logistics The Geographical restriction is set to the following bodies of water: Thames River, New London CT Mystic River, Mystic CT Fishers Island Sound Block Island Sound (Out no further than 3 nautical miles) Providence River, Providence RI Narragansett Bay All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period is schedule for thirty days (30) calendar days and is expected to begin immediately upon award.
