Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 4 - CGS, Atlanta, Georgia intends to negotiate a sole source procurement, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253 (c) (1). The intent is to solicit a single source for the requirement of Mammalian Trapping at Cape Romain NWR, Awendaw, SC. USFWS intent is to sole source the requirement to South Eastern Wildlife & Environmental Education Association Inc (SEWEE Association). The North American Industry Classification System code is 114210, size standard $4.0m. The purpose of this procurement is to perform non-personal services necessary for trapping of sea turtle nesting island. It is the Government's belief that SEWEE Association can only meet this requirement because they have extensive knowledge of the barrier areas and movement patterns of the mammals on the island to avoid trapping non-target species. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A FORMAL SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to the e-mail address stated herein, Attn: Artela Jacobs. Inquiries to this notice must be received by 3:30 pm local time on September 1, 2011. Please include your name, point of contact, address, area code, telephone number and facsimile number. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Inquiries can be e-mailed to artela_jacobs@fws.gov. As a result of evaluating responses to this letter of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
