- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT: The Department of Education, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Contracts and Acquisitions Management, located at 550 12th Street SW, Washington, D.C., 20202, intends to award a sole source contract to North Star Communications Inc., located at 6874 Watson Court, Warrenton, VA, 20187, to provide Codan High Frequency(HF) Antennas installation and maintenance services. The contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Ryan Battad, via email at ryan.battad@ed.gov, no later than 12:00 PM, EST, 07 Sep 2011. Responses shall include a brief description of previously performed service(s) installing and/or maintaining Codan manufactured HF antennas, to include customer points of contact(s).
