- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service Southwest Fisheries Science Center Fisheries Ecology Division located in Santa Cruz, CA. has a requirement for purchase of a high capacity Personal Genome Machine data server and associated software suite. The computer server must contain at least 12TB of storage and 48GB of RAM and at least 12 processors. The software suite must include ALL necessary applications to process and analyze output of an Ion Torrent Personal Genome Machine sequencer and for web-based distribution of the data. Hardware must have minimum 12 month warranty. The NAICS code of this acquisition is 541711. The government intends to issue a firm- fixed contract. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. Only firms that can provide the exact services described herein will be considered. This is a simplified acquisition with estimated value of less than $100,000.00. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation and resultant award.
