Description
THIS IS NEITHER A SYNOPSIS NOR A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT request to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for a possible upcoming opportunity entitled, " Chief Joseph Dam DC Boards and Breakers Replacement" located in Bridgeport, (Okanogan County) Washington. The purpose of this notice is to seek market data pertaining to qualified Small Businesses (SB), 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Woman Owned Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), or HUBZone businesses as prime contractor business sources and their respective size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990. Depending upon the responses in the business categories listed above, the solicitation will either be set aside in one of the latter categories or be issued on an unrestricted basis open to both small and large business. Description of Work: Remove existing, furnish, install, and test new 125/250V DC system, including battery banks (1, 2, and 3), switchboards, and chargers, except items separately priced. Remove existing, furnish, install, and test new 120V Preferred AC system, including switchboards and inverters, except items separately priced. Remove existing, furnish, install, and test new 24/48V DC system, including battery bank 4, switchboards, and charges, except items separately priced. Responses to the Sources Sought Synopsis should be received as soon as possible but no later than 2:00 pm (Pacific Time) on Thursday, September 15, 2011. The responses should be forwarded to the attention of: Regi Lowery, Contract Specialist, by email: regi.lowery@usace.army.mil. Email should include a description of your firm, and available services, firm's name, address, CAGE code and/or DUNS number. Please provide the following: 1)Please provide a bonding letter. Your firm shall demonstrate the ability to bond a $5 million magnitude. 2)Examples of similar work your team has successfully completed within the past five years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 237990 with a size standard of $33.5 million. Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the USACE. All interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit complete information describing interest and ability to meet requirements stated above. NOTE: there are no plans and specs for this project at this time. Please refrain from asking potential and forthcoming technical questions, as answers to technical questions are only available through an online system during the solicitation process.
