- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is NICHD2011120 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 employees. However, this solicitation is not set aside for small business. This acquisition is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have a requirement to procure the following brand name or equivalent to Agilent manufactured instrument and components/service: 1.Product# G5409A - Bravo Liquid handling platform w/configurable pads and accessories. The platform must be able to generate libraries that can be sequenced on either the Illumina or Applied Biosystems sequencing platforms, both of which are present in the lab. On-going experiments require the platform to be capable of generating libraries from Agilent SureSelect custom and All-Exon products and up to 96 libraries in a single run in order to maintain sequencing workflows and consistency. The machine should have validated scripts for sub-genome capture using Agilent SureSelect, Nimblegen and Illumina TruSeq capture technologies. Have scripts already written and validated for next-generation fragment library production for Illumina and SOLID, and have validated scripts for RNAseq and CHiPseq library production for both Illumina and SOLID. Also the machine should have a 96-well pipetting head.The liquid handling platform must also be able to: run robotic scripts capable of generating 96 sub-genome libraries in a single run run pretested robotic scripts capable of generation libraries using the SureSelect chemistriesrun robotic scripts capable of generating sub-genome libraries suitable for both the Illumina and Applied Biosystems sequencing formatsrun the required scripts and protocols immediately upon installation Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material (not to exceed ten pages) that sufficiently demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements with their RFQ response. The equivalent system/components must be able to perform/function equally as well as the brand name system/components. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation and provides the best value to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical/performance capabilities and price.THE OFFEROR MUST INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISION OF FAR CLAUSE 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS COMMERCIAL ITEMS WITH ITS OFFER.
