- Solicitation Notice/Special Notice This is posted as notification of the Government's intent to enter into a sole-source award under the authority of FAR 6.302-1: "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements" This announcement is published for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Request for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this solicitation notice/special notices. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representative for consideration for future requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. USDA Forest Service intends to award on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U. S. C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements; for the procurement and delivery of EnCase and eDsicovery Security Software and Maintenance Support for the Chief Information Office (CIO) Litigation Hold Program. To meet recommended security requirements, the CIO needs to purchase the EnCase Universal Serial Bus (USB) Security Software, and Maintenance Support. The unit will be delivered to Forest Service Headquarters, Arlington VA 22209. The Government intends to solicit and award a sole source contract for this requirement to immixTechnology, Inc. 8444 Westpark Drive, Suite 200, McLean, VA 22102. Note: This procurement is a sole source, therefore no solicitation is available.
